SEEMA SHAH

Born in 1966, Varanasi, Shah graduated in Painting in 1988. Her artwork depicts a sense of tranquillity and spiritual harmony, drawing on 'assemblages' of Hindu and Buddhist mythologies. Seema Sharma Shah is a visual artist whose practice explores tranquility, cultural heritage, and spiritual harmony.

Rooted in Hindu and Buddhist mythologies, her work delves into the interplay between spirituality, culture, and nature. Shah’s artistic approach often merges traditional narratives with contemporary aesthetics, creating a reflective dialogue on cultural identity and spiritual introspection.

She has exhibited in over 70 national and international shows, including the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna (2019) and Shridharani Art Gallery, New Delhi (2014). Her accolades include the Best Etching Award at Art Fest Doral (2013, 2014) and an Honorable Mention at India’s 1st Printmaking Biennial (2018).
